In Kingdom Duelers TCG, you'll fight with various creatures from around the island of Kinlia to destroy your opponent's Fortress before they destroy yours! You'll place your Duelers into Attack Zones and Protector Zones, try to think strategically as you find the right balance between offense and defense!
Basics
Kingdom Duelers TCG is a 2 Player game that usually lasts up to 45 minutes.
You play cards on the battlefield. The battlefield has two sides; one for each player.
Each player has a fortress that starts with 1500 health. The goal of the game is to reduce the opponent’s fortress health to 0. To do that, you’ll need to target it with Units in order to deal damage to it.
Each player must have a deck with 40 cards each. You can only include up to 2 copies of a single card in your deck. Both players draw 5 cards to start the game, before any player starts their turn.

On the first turn of the game, you only gain 2 scales and draw 1 card during the resource phase and cannot interact with your opponent.
You pay scales to play cards. You may only have 15 scales at a time. If you would ever go above 15 scales through a card effect or resource phase, the scales cap at 15.
Cards
There are two main categories of card types in KDTCG, with 2 types each.
Units
Units are your main source of offense and defense, every unit has a Kingdom (their faction, essentially) as well as stats to engage in battle with.
DUELERS
Duelers are the most common card type. It can both be placed in an attack zone, or a protector zone.
SPLITS
Splits are Units that both players control. They are placed in the only Split zone, located in the middle of the Battlefield.
Resources
Resources have simple effects that affect the board, the players or specific cards.
GADGETS
Gadgets simply have an effect.
EQUIPS
Equips are cards that you may equip next to a Unit to give that card an effect. They are removed when the equipped card leaves play. Only 3 cards can be equipped to a card at a time. You cannot equip more than one of the same Equip to a single card.

Attacking
Cards in Attack Zones and Split Zones can attack. What they can attack depends on the current state of the Battlefield. You can always target any Unit on your opponent’s side, unless a card effect says otherwise. Fortresses can only be targeted by Units if the opponent has no protectors in play.
When you attack a Unit, the attacking card’s Damage Stat is compared to the defending card’s Health stat. If it is equal or larger, then the attacking card defeats the defending card. If it is lower, the attacking card is defeated.
When attacking a Unit, the Critical Stat may come into play depending if the attacking card has an elemental advantage over the defending card. An elemental advantage depends on the Kingdoms of the two cards. If a card has an elemental advantage, the critical stat is added to the attack stat for that single attack. Here is the chart showing the elemental advantages:
When a Unit’s Defense reaches 0, it is defeated and sent to the discard pile.
